Your brother in Islam servant of the Merciful Souleymane Abu Issa al balgiki.

1. My last :

When I was younger my belief in God was present, my father was Catholic, I went to church, I read the Bible (Roman Catholic version which consists of 73 books), but some issues disturbed me. Why blindly follow a Pope himself as a vicar of God on earth? Why the Catholic Church built it countless statues while this is clearly forbidden in many passages of the Old Testament? Why invoke the saints and not invoke God Himself directly, while the saints are dead and the dead do not have the ability to hear the invocations in the world, which would give them a characteristic of the deity, which is to hear the invocations worldwide.

All these questions I went from time to time in the head, but not enough to deter me. One day as I walked to go to a park to meditate creation, I am inadvertently passed through another path. And there, when I visited the park, I saw a temple evangelist (Protestant). People returning to the temple. I hesitated. Someone saw me and said, "Go you are welcome, come and listen to the words of Christ our savior. "So I came back just to see what was it, but my amazement, there were no statues or Pope. After Mass, I went with the pastor and I asked him some questions. The pastor answered correctly like me, I thought to myself: "what if these people were really followers of Christ. "Since that day, I have attended the Catholic Church.

2. The Evangelists:

I attended the great temple at Sunday masses; during biblical foundation on Tuesday and another, but I still wanted more, always more. One day while I was reading some verses related to the life of Christ, the pastor came near me and said: "I see your resolutions for a few months and I am convinced that you can become an important element our community. "I was frustrated

. For the first time the pastor would grant me as important. In fact, for months he was watching me. I replied: "Yes, but I want more study to know our Lord Jesus Christ.

If it be thy will, assured me there, we'll reach an agreement. "
The weeks passed and the pastor came to me and smiled and said:" We're you and I study the life of our lord. The program at the beginning was to study the Bible, 5 hours per week spread over 3 days outside of the Mass and Bible classes on Tuesday. I was very diligent. While my friends were asleep, I woke up about 8am on weekends to study the Bible (the Protestant version which consists of 66 books) and devote myself to prayer.

in a few months I had become the darling of the pastor. People respected me tremendously. They were amazed by my attendance, and despite my young age Christian. They saw me as a future preacher, a future counselor for the Christian community, but Allah decided otherwise. Glory to him, the Transcendent, the Mighty, the Wise.

3. My travels:

During my stay (4 years) within the evangelical church, we traveled a lot during the sitting in Brussels, at conferences in Paris, but we also traveled to Rome, capital of Italy, but also the center of the Catholic Church "The Vatican".
These trips have taught me to know the Christians through their different cultures.

4. My vision of Islam:

My vision of Islam was very vague and superficial. I often heard from my pastor that Muslims worship the Black Stone in Mecca, so that we, as Christians, we worship the one true God incarnate in Jesus Christ. The pastor told us: "The people of the truth produce good fruit and produce false people prickly pear fruit and bitter, so watch these barbarians, without moral, a heretical belief, do you think these people are producing good fruit? Who inspired them? Is not that Mohammed? "And we repeat like sheep who fall in a barn," Yes, yes Hallelujah! "

I learned here and there some verses from the Koran that were in a leaflet that the pastor gave us to use it against a Muslim, if the opportunity arose . This leaflet was trying to prove that Jesus was God in the Qur'an as being his word that the pronoun Nahnou (us) was the father, son and the Holy Spirit and the Bible (which bible? What codex?) was untouchable. The Qur'an itself confirms this. Although these people did not believe at all in the Holy Book of Muslims, they used it to divert its followers.
I had at that time a great hatred vis-à-vis Muslims, not for their lives because their souls could be saved from my old design, but for their religion full of hatred, barbarism (which is really just ignorance on our part of this great religion.) The pastor always told me when speaking of sending missionaries in Islamic countries: "They are brave. They know that Muslims are sometimes very hard to convert, but they do no despair. " I told myself from that day:" I'll try to talk to a Muslim, because the truth is unique while the fake is multiple. "

5. My encounter with a Muslim

One day while I was distributing leaflets on the Gospels, I saw in the distance a Muslim with a beard and look serene. I once had many discussions with Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholics and others, but never a practicing Muslim. I said why not what have I to fear? So I approached him and greeted him " Peace be with you!
- Hello, 'he replied.
- Do you know that salvation is in the Bible? I threw him.
- The hello is in the Koran
- How can you say that when your God say, "No one can change the words" The Torah Is not the word of God? And the gospel?
- Yes, but this verse is not concerned with divine revelations.
- how?
- This verse is the promise of Allah against those allies, as the verse you have cited is that of Surah Yunus (Jonah). "

was the very one I had shown him. I was surprised blast. Then he threw me "To me ask you a question, or Jesus say he is God? "
- He could not say it, I, as the Jews would have put him to death and allegedly persecuted for blasphemy.
- Did he not been persecuted in spite of that, and after you died on the cross? So what would it have changed? The Jews called him a blasphemer still is not that true?
- Yes.
- Also, why did not he say t'explicitly.
- He did understand.
- The apostles of Jesus relatives have never heard of her mouth: "I am God Worship me," yet they have not hanged or crucified.
- The apostles did not understand that.
- Thou hast understanding. Children understand the Church and the apostles would not have understood? God knows it not be understood to one of the most important topics, namely himself? "

course, I was amazed. My heart almost fly. The Muslim said: "If Jesus was really God, why he said on the cross:" My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? ? He indulged himself? If a person says why have you forsaken me is that this person has not had that what wanted or expected it supports. So, Jesus felt abandoned, but leave enough? According to Christians it would come to earth to die and wash away our sins, why does he feel abandoned? He is supposed to be God. And then again, I was stunned. This event signaled the beginning of a long adventure.

6. The last line:

For several weeks, I hardly ate and slept very little. Faith had dropped to 200 floors, but I thought: "The devil is trying to mislead me, it was to hang me! " So I continued to attend the temple, and hide my questions. One day the pastor was trying to explain the verse John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. January
1:2 - It was in the beginning with God. January
1:3 - It was all through him and without him nothing was. Until further verse which says And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The pastor then explained these verses telling us that everything has been done for him and nothing was done without him. After his speech, I got up and I told him if Jesus is the Word of God literally and that nothing has done or said without it, in this case why we criticize Muslims on stoning and corporal punishment, as God has commanded that the Old Testament? If Jesus is the Word and nothing is produced without it, in this case, Jesus is responsible for this, and in addition he has approved it. Moreover, all killings in the Old Testament God commands or massacring women, children, men and all its obscenities when God told Hosea to take a prostitute, etc.. All this has been done by consent of jesus prince of peace? Him, which is the word, is the one who ordered all that. The pastor was shocked by my question. Then he told me "You know, sometimes some questions are unnecessary for the faith, the man just needs to focus on what is useful. "

I was not satisfied with this answer for me was obvious. According to Christians Jesus was the source of all this. I was again shaken in my faith. It became a habit for me that had yet studied the Bible faithfully for 4 long years. However, God in his infinite wisdom, knew that to happen to me.

7. The request for help :

At this point in my life I suffered greatly. I was praying, crying, "Jesus save me, dismisses me doubts, help me! "After this plea, a voice inside me whispered to me:" How can you ask Jesus for help. Himself, he needed on the cross, saying: My God My God why hast thou forsaken me? "
So I told myself I will pray and ask God only help; me who suffered for months. So I got up and pleaded with God in these terms: "My God, you who found the books, you are the creator of all things, guide me, because nor has it only you who can guide me! "So I opened the Bible, the Gospel of Luke, and I got to verse 18 of chapter 18 that say:" Why call me good, if one is good but God alone is . "I thought he alluded to the human nature of Christ, but upon reflection, I felt bad thinking that it was actually a denial of his divinity? Whenever Christians have a hard time explaining some topics on Christ they always turn to the same loophole: the human nature of Christ. But how can God be God and man? How to be incarnated in a man? Hindus believe that God incarnate in a rat or a cow, a short creature. Where is the difference between this belief and the support that God would become man? I then realized that I had, for many years, is ... wrong!

8. The moment of truth:

I was exhausted! So I was in a Muslim friend who did not practice Islam at the time, and I told him: "Give me a book on Islam. He then gave me the book of Sheikh Mohammed inbnou abdoulwahhab attawhid-kitab (the book's uniqueness). When I read, I realized that everything we had reported about Islam was false. This fabulous book explains in detail the uniqueness and transcendence of God, Allahu akbar! I asked him to take me to the mosque, and there I was amazingly surprised. There was no picture! The faithful who pray with devotion, others who recite the Koran loop soubhanallah! I realized that this was the truth, the religion of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them). A man invited me to embrace Islam. I then ran back to my imam who recited the shahada (the certificate of Islamic faith). So I repeated after him, tears in his eyes soubhanallah (Glory to Allah). My heart was touched, my chest expanded. Allah had guided me in its greatness to its path, I was so far to venture to this beautiful religion. I was touched by Sakina (tranquility)!

9. Adda'wa (Call to Islam):

Today 'Today, it's been almost six years that I am converted. My new faith guided me in my thoughts, my behavior, my words, because Islam is a system that governs the life of man in all its aspects. My family had trouble accepting this. They had repeatedly tried to take me to distraction, but praise to Allah I stayed on track. Currently, my parents accepted my religion more criticism over political and religious debates. My behavior has stunned. This behavior is one of the bases of the call to Islam. My discussions and debates with some pastors and Jewish rabbi have shown repeatedly that the truth was unwavering. Many people are subsequently converted, including my brother, sister, big brother, my grandmother who 85 years and stayed for over 67 years in the church evangelist, and many others. That is why I appeal to Muslims and non-Muslims: O ye who believe! Be aware of the enormous benefit that is on you, you who are born into Islam. Be diligent with the orders of Allah! As for those who are not Muslim, I recommend the sincerity in their approach to Islam, and what to eliminate bias from the outset. Sincerity is a prerequisite to discover the truth. I will conclude with two verses: one is the Koran, the other Bible.

Allah says in Sura Maria (19) verse 36: "Allah is my Lord (Jesus is speaking here) and your Lord. Therefore serve Him. This is a straight path. "

And this Bible verse John 17:3
" this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, whom thou hast sent, Jesus Christ. "

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the universe, may Allah guide us and protect us! Wa alaykum Salam

Wa Wa barakatuh rahmat!

Souleymane (formerly Roland Bruno) Abu al 3issa balgiki.
